CVC Pie Face

Say What????  We played consonant vowel consonant (CVC) Pie Face Style!

*Students were split up into 5 groups

*Each group had a Pie Face game (ask students to bring these in), 3 cubes (2 with consonants-blue, 1 with vowels-red), recording sheet

Students were to roll the cubes and sound out the CVC word- it could be real or non-sense.  Once they read and recorded their word, they had a chance to play Pie Face (I had upper grade students come down to help monitor each group).  Then it was the next player's turn.  After playing, we regrouped and came back down to the carpet with our recording sheet and discussed which words were real words vs. non-sense words!  Have Fun with it!!
