Sight Word Flag Race

This is a super easy game to engage your class with sight word recognition.

 I listed all of our sight words on the flags and assigned each word a point value.  (the easier words were less points)
Each student had a word list.  They were given 3 minutes to write down as many words as they could and the point value beside it.  After the 3 minutes were up, they had to read their words to me.  If they couldn't read the word, I drew a line thru it.  The student who had the most points was the winner.  They are begging to play this game again!
